I think that you should let them do that. It will speed up research a lot, robot soldiers can replace human soldiers so no humans need to die in wars, and they can be sent to places deadly to humans to research, but I think that the ones who are intelligent should be under strict surveillance with humans who can order self destruction if they become dangerous
