So you are clearly a person of a scientific mindset. I suggest you use that mindset to study some evolutionary biology, neurology and quantum physics (especially probabilities). Then come back and tell me that ML "is outright theft" while being intellectually honest. When scientific people claim unscientific nonsense, it's always sad to see. The whole universe is a dataset we are all just merely recombining. The parameters are all there, already given. Humans cannot invent new parameters. It's physically impossible. The concept of an "original idea" and true "authorship" is a myth and an old paradigm that is simply incompatible with modern science. It does not exist. Not in our known universe. An innately blind person cannot imagine shapes and colors. They simply have no visual concept of it. It's one of the good proofs that humans need an existing pattern palette to work with - to recombine it into different patterns. And all of that happens probabilistically, because the evolution works probabilistically, because the laws of universe work probabilistically. Because of all of this, there is no point in trying to differentiate generative AI from human creativity. It's fundamentally the same process.
