They still did the 2D character design, 3D animation and plot making. All the AI did was tracing. So the entire foundation is made by humans, just so you know.
And today's AI still has problems since they are going to use this as an excuse for cutting the animator's salary in half, and I'm pretty sure Stable Diffusion still uses millions of other art pieces that don't belong to the animators of this show. Overall, we need ethical AI before we get AI animes.
