People fear what they don't understand. It's a self preservation instinct.
As you don't understand AI, you fear it - so you're biased. That bias makes it impossible for you to listen to reason. AI is not as bad as you think. And there are a ton of safeguards that can be put in place. And bottom line: IF an AI goes haywire, just pull the plug. hange is never zero though. Same conundrum Oppenheimer faced when the chance of igniting the atmosphere was non-zero accordign to calculations.
