@medhursttevery single way in which you can imagine AI being a threat is the same way you could imagine a calculator or a steam engine or nuclear power being a threat. I could build a nuke, or a dangerous pathogen with the use of a simple Texas Instruments calculator. Any threat you can imagine doesn't come from AI, it comes from the owners of that technology. AI in control of suply-chains, without even a need for income of it's own, is infinitely less threatening than supply-chains being owned and controlled by Corporations and CEOs with the express motive of profiteering over all else. If you think there's 100 ways an AI could mess woth that, look at the hundreds of thousands of ways private industry already does that on a literal daily basis.
