Appreciate the perspective but man, that’s a bleak way to look at creativity. The industry’s changed, sure, but it’s not dead. It just left the old gatekeepers behind. I think there’s more opportunity now than ever... it just doesn’t look like it did 25 years ago.
So much has happened during that time: design went digital, web blew up, then entered global economy devaluing design, then entered social, then connected devices and mobile, now AI is the rage...and yet, design still exists and is needed more than ever! The human perspective coupled with curiosity will always have a place.
