@nicolesabbagh7375 'Intelligence Engineering' cannot be replaced by 'A'I. 'Artificial Intelligence Engineering' or 'A'I, by definition, loses. In other words, when staring at 'A'I, what you are actually doing is looking at a devolution or devolved form of Intelligence. Additionally Intelligence combined with Consciousness is greater than and more useful than, artificial intelligence in all domains and ranges/codomains (Functionally speaking). Hence, what we have is a technology that has been incorrectly named. Perhaps intentionally so. For security reasons. Therefore we may think of AI as a tool, and Human's as Intelligent beings with embodied Consciousness. Thank you for your question. Note that, Intelligence engineering is a family of disciplines brought to life by the mysterious and illusive ingredients of Intelligence, and of Consciousness.
