Why buy thier products if you can just buy them and save money? Companies might buy each other until the biggest buys the second biggest and wins that game of monopoly.
Prices can then be set arbitrarily high or low. Every person and government would get highly endebted very quickly without any way to make money to pay interest so every person and state sooner or later defaults on thier debt and all assets will be seized, enforced by automated police without a conscience. Everyone but one company is left powerless and at the whims of the sole owner of everything in the world, which might be uninterested in providing any welfare.
