Understanding is always up to the Individual. I grew up with learning disabilities. So I needed help with understanding stuff. But no matter what was offered to help me understand it was still up to me to keep working at it until the understand "clicked" for me.
Some people thought that giving me answers would keep me dumb but it didn't, I wanted to understand, I just had to find my own method for Internalizing what im learning, instead of memorizing.
You misunderstand the functionality of ai. If a person thinks that the purpose of ai is to have it think for you, that's how they will use it or that will be the reason to not use it. If a person thinks ai is for entertainment or romance that's how they're going to use it. I ai isn't 1 thing and it has much more than 1 application.
The same things you're saying about ai is what they said about TVand the internetand youtube and more. But it all comes down to if the person just wants to shut their brain off or not
