@AiDIYTECH all AI frequently uses popular copyrighted works to generate its output. A derivative of copyrighted work creates a legal liability and infringement lawsuit opportunity. Users should be aware if the risks in using snd consuming a product. Consumers have a right to know if the product they are buying is an original work or a reproduction of copyrighted data. On the other side using AI software (machine learning) on your original data is through the terms of service is agreement to transfer royalties, ownership and copyright to the software company. It is the equivalent of MS Word claiming copyright rights to your documents because you used its spell check function. AI users are not adequately warned of this outcome buried in the fine print. Read the Sony, New York Times, Authors Guild, Thomas Reuters, Dow Jones, Getty Images, Intercept Media, Raw Story Media and Condé Nast lawsuits for further explanation.
AI has not survived its serious legal challenges yet. It will be a radically different product after the 100’s of lawsuits it is currently facing.
