@midnightsan9917because its the only logic step once a society achieves a post scarcity economy. You think 95% of the population are just going to let the other 5% have things and them have nothing.
Economics requires a delicate balance of supply and demand when the supply outweighs the demand the price drops in a post scarcity economy. There is no demand because the supply this is abundant. And if the workforce is entirely mechanized and artificial intelligence runs the show, then there's really no other alternative for humanity.
