Future jobs will require combinations of domain knowledge + AI proficiency + adaptability. That’s indeed not something everyone can do, especially on short notice. Many economies still rely on low-skill or semi-skilled labor. If AI eliminates or devalues that work, and there are no public jobs and massive retraining, social unrest becomes very likely. We’ve seen this historically: industrial revolutions always come with dislocation and conflict - unless managed wisely.
