I'm going to go back and finish school online. When I first started college ten years ago (which, holy shit, how did that go by so fast), the idea of using AI to do an essay was laughable. Think of the Google Translate, "YU WA ZA CHOZEN WAN" Star Wars memes back then. *That* was supposed to help *me* write an *essay*?
And now I'm going to worry about whether my essays are "human" enough to pass a class, even though I literally have no idea how to use AI to do shit for me, which I know isn't a flex, it's just sad. 😂 I would've immediately gotten flunked and kicked out of my STEM college if I was caught plagiarizing!
The extra irony being that my degree is going to be in an environmental science-adjacent field. 😒 So I guess AI really did take my job after all. Whoop de do. 😔 I'm legitimately scared for the future but the best thing we can do is teach everyone about these things.
