I actually have had far more issues over the decades with the short-sightededness and lack of rationality of other people, as well as my own. I actually prefer a more rational world, which might feel cold to others and lacking empathy, yet instead likely leads to less overly negative, emotional responses or rash actions that leave lasting scars. Whether it's the cyberbullying or toxicity on social media, or the sycophancy of AI in many instances, or regular human contact that results in a plethora of friction too, none are ideal. The only way to transcend the issues of society is to collectively, or at the very least individually, see everyone's responsible for their own lives, as well as how each person treats any other. As this video has a Christian undertone, this is the original sin, the fact that each crisis leads to another one, and another one, and so on. It's like what Jacque Fresco said: _"Early lifeforms couldn't help but drag something along with them when they crawled out of the ocean."_ Each individual family leaves a lasting impression or persona on the next generation, as well as the community someone grows up in. The digital world also has an undeniable effect on (frequent) users. The combination can at times be lethal. I've actually pondered at times: _"When you grow up, you start to see the mistakes your parents have made and vow to do differently. The moment you get children of your own, you can see it wasn't that easy after all (as everyone acts with imperfect information) and you make different mistakes, which your children in turn blame you for. And the cycle repeats."_ It *_all_* reminds me of the song: _We Didn't Start the Fire_ by Billy Joel The only way to escape from it is when everyone acquires more wisdom, which starts with the Ancient Greek adage: *_"Know thyself!"_* When humans truly adhere to their designation—Homo Sapiens, or human the wise—we would have considerably less suffering and much more true prosperity—the one that only occurs within the psyche, or soul for lack of better word.
