Let me guess, you’re an artist lol. Oh, yes, you’re either a poor skilled artist or a pretty good artist who’s struggling to make a living out of it. And people who’re against AI art is 90 percent artists. That’s why I call it an Artist’s Ego. You don’t care about animators, video editors or car designers getting replaced but when your art gets affected then it became a huge drama. So, that’s certainly an Artists Ego. If you’re not an artist, chances are you don’t care about this topic. Second of all, you artists or especially digital artists cheat A LOT!!! You don’t realize how much you guys are cheating. Infinite ink, paper, and layers. The layer feature is the biggest one. Oh, yeah, you artists collect a lot of references from other artists on Pinterest, X, IG, Google, Art Station and pull some references out from there to use them so you can blend together and call it an “ORIGINAL” art. Not only that, people import images into the background, lower the opacity, maybe trace a little bit here and there and list goes on forever. Isn’t that a same process that AI does? I guess the definition of original is how much you can water it down from the references you’re using, and who do you is better at it? Yeah, it’s AI. Because it can combine literally infinite numbers of images from online, and artists on the other hand, they might combine 10 to 20 images. So by your definition, artists are actually coping it. If AI copied something 100%, then that’s the problem but that’s not what it’s doing. You drew a spider man fan art or whatever the character it is and sell it somewhere like Etsy? Oh, wow, that’s actually illegal right there. Did you know that? Why is that okay to you, huh? What’s your logic there? You have strong biases which are “spend more time and effort = valid art.” “Me using references are okay but AI isn’t.” And so forth and so on. Please, study the laws, study what IP is, study how AI images are actually made. Educate yourself. You’re becoming a dinosaur being left behind.
