Your mistake is assuming there's any intelligence at all. LLMs are just predictive text generators. They fundamentally, intrinsically are incapable of understanding anything. It's why they only worked for the project skeleton, there's so many examples it can replicate. But we've had boilerplate code generation for years before LLM coding. The second you need something that's not boilerplate, it's going to choke, and you're better off actually understanding what you're doing and writing it yourself.
