We are going to need a new economic system in the future almost no matter what, but that will take significant time and effort.
Something you're touching on here that I wholeheartedly agree with is that while human actions shape AI, incentives shape human actions. Laws and regulations shape incentives.
We have to start from the ground up, creating the political will to shape the laws that shape the incentives that shape the development of this technology.
