@LDJ757 You literally ARE criticising people, though. You go on to say “why should people pay for mid-to-low quality art when AI has more aesthetic quality”. It doesn’t, though. All AI looks the same and you ARE actively discouraging real artists because “AI can do it faster, better and cheaper”.
If you whole heartedly believe that all the amazing, passionate artists out there should just accept the fact that AI is going to take over the skill that they love, then I genuinely believe you, and people like you, should never interact with any type of art medium if all you’re doing it for is a quick, shitty buck.
There are MANY downsides to AI generation. It actively steals from non-consenting artists, it all looks really bad with mindless details that blend or blur with others, and not to mention it is actively damaging the environment but taking far too much water in order to cool its centres.
People say AI is the future when maybe it shouldn’t be.
