if it wasnt commercially then there wouldn't be anything for us to complain about, unless when an artist is really attached to their style they might get upset at it being stolen. Indeed, an artstyle cannot be copyrighted. If you go on instagram you will find hundreds if not thousands of artists with the same style as Sam. But everybody has their own touch to it. Except, what AI models do is steal already existing *art*, rather than the style. Copying the style into a model would be extremely difficult. But Sam already made so many pieces that it's super easy to just combine like 20 of them to create something alike to the prompt I put in the generator. But yeah, we are mostly angry because our art is being used without our permission, *to make money* , atleast give us some profit as well, you know? If someone wants to commission me, but I fall out of their budget, and an AI generator can copy my work for $5, then of course they're going to pay the AI model instead of the actual artist who puts their heart and soul into the art. Get it?
