Typing words is an already existing skill.
Moving a pencil to a sattisfactory end is a so wicked much harder skill to aquire.
Plus there is absolutely nobody who will refute the scripters right to call him self an "artist".
We had a term for people who lack all skill and yet dabble with computers. We called them "script-kiddies". Which describes AI artists far better.
But the label artist is a compliment. It's a label attributed to da Vinci and Michelangelo. Script-kiddies have no names. Kind of uncool.
We even go so far as to call the script kiddies "Prompt Engineers". Holy mother of god, the audacity. Yet it is accepted.
