"AI Artists" are talentless hacks who are too lazy to put in any actual effort to learn the skills to create art. The effort itself is what makes a persons work art, even if the artist only took 15 min to create the work, they had to put in years of effort learning the skills to be able to create art that fast. The point she made at the end was that there is no significant difference in effort between simply searching an image on google, or generating a piece with AI.
as for the AI gen being free to use, that's only temporary. Gen AI companies are intentionally operating at a loss to get as many people to use it as a "The first hit is free" kind of tactic. Then once they have built a substantial userbase, they will start charging.
And for your last point no, if AI companies would pay adequate royalties to artists, real artists would be all for AI as it would be a stable source off income for them, something that many professional artists struggle with.
