@JustACuteFox You are a human being, who puts time and effort into learning something. Even though you are creating something based on something else, you’re still able to put your own spin on it. Think of it like this: AI artwork is as if you stole a dish from a restaurant, threw it in the microwave, and then said you made it. You learning to draw something in the ghibli style yourself is as if you asked for the recipe from the restaurant and then attempted to make it yourself. Even though it wouldn’t necessarily be of the same quality, you still took the time to get the ingredients, do the measurements, figure out how to bake it, and finish it off. You still took the time to learn how to do it. Art isn’t just the result, it’s what it took to get there. That’s what generative AI lacks. I hope this helped you understand my point!!
