OK, so: the point is that AI is VERY different to us, so how should the word "smarter" be understood, when applied to something so different?
An example: it appears the AI robot Sophia has to turn her ears off when she speaks, so she doesn't react to her own voice as if it's someone else speaking. That would be a dumb mistake that we can't imagine a human being - however smart - making. Sophia does not have a meaningful sense of self. So how can she be "smart", in any recognisable way?
