I made a really long comment but it accidentally got deleted now I'm peeved and you're getting a really shallow comment now
So instead of finding a way to get more free time to do the things you love you rather settle for overconsumption to compensate for your lack of free time?
I feel like a lot of children haven't figured out that they can make money off of their pieces, if anything child artists are a peak example of showing just how important art is, it's their creations and their self expression and I think that's beautiful
Yea sometimes they'll want attention for what they make but they're children, children are entitled it's a phase everyone goes through you're going to want praise because to children they are their art that's how much it means to them, they created that
How does having a cocky or boastful attitude all of a sudden discredit someone from not liking Ai? It's not like this is what every single artists think, for crying out loud they can't even agree on the definition of art and what art mediums are considered art or not? Is cake sculpting art? Is cooking in general art? Are something you do as a hobby art? Even when it's gardening? What if it was someone's job? Does art have to be practical? Etc, Artists are not the same, not all of them are looking for praise and money, even if they were that's not a bad thing, you can choose to give it to them or not but for a lot of us, it's just a hobby and to some it's a talent they share with the world and I love that I wish they didn't get taken advantage of by businesses so often
When you find you can make money off of your art one of the first things you find is that it doesn't sell much, many artists already know this, they've been screwed over even before Ai was popular so children are probably similar
I went to the art club at my school, I was only visiting because I wanted to meet other art nerds and learn other art techniques and the first thing the teacher told me is when I go into the art field as a professional don't expect to get rich off of it, don't expect it'll do well, he said it a lot less cruel than that but I got the point down, there's way too much horror stories about working conditions in a lot of art business that I won't and can't get to right now (remember my first comment deleted and I'm still annoyed)
I assume he said the same thing to everyone else in that club, it seems to me the only artists who do it for the money are teenagers (I'm generalizing, it's people who are more likely to think you can make it big as an artist), poor artists and the big corporations like Disney who benefit on overworking their artists to create "soulless" films
So mostly people looking for Profit over product, quantity over quality
What does this have to do with Artists? How does having a cocky or boastful attitude all of a sudden discredit you from not liking Ai?
Honestly the more I type the more I'm starting to question if I should be blaming corporations and their business practices
