I would only believe that it was good at testing if human testers had reviewed what the AI produced and confirmed it didn't miss anything. Unfortunately, a lot of corporate bean counters have been looking for an excuse to get rid of QA for decades. The unfortunate reality is that making computer software is expensive. The more that is cut out of the process, the higher the risk that something will get eff'ed up.
