the guy who first invented the shovel has been dead for probably several thousand years by now, who they were isnt the slightest bit relevant. even then, how would we be stealing from them if we dug a hole? are you saying that the guy who invented the shovel also invented digging holes?
shovels have also been made independently across many different cultures because attaching a scoop at the end of a stick to move dirt isnt that hard to come up with. Shovels have also been remade and iterated upon over and over again, assigning credit to one singular person for how shovels are now is like assigning all the credit for the Nissan Altima on Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot, the guy who first made a powered road vehicle in 1769.
besides that, the people or even teams of people who come up with the designs for the shovels you see in stores today were all (usually at least) paid for there work, and (usually) consented for their design to be used by the company to be sold, which you cant say for ai
