@DominicSmith-h6rAgreed, as we perceive the world as it is. It is very dependent on how AI develops. The city will be decimated as AI will make more reasoned decisions in seconds, taking into consideration the global fiscal view that would take an army of humans, move money and buy and sell decisions etc. Actuaries in insurance companies will be replaced. Any current occupations that humans do which result in having to make decisions for a good outcome can be handled by AI. The trades will be affected as robots will do a lot of the heavy jobs that the trades currently use humans to do. There are already robots developed which pull heavy cables for electrical installations; tile laying for floors (normally a two person job). Designing residential and commercial areas, right down to the area layouts, electricity supplies, drainage, water supplies, building mix, design and construction needs. Right down to ordering the materials etc. The future looks exciting but employment will be badly affected in the short term, from what I can perceive, but who knows?
