This video addresses why those obsessed with trying to compare AI to past tech revolutions have no idea what they are talking about. This is *nothing* like the transition from typewriters to computers. or the shift away from agrarian life. AI is generative; it iterates on its own. In other words, we can no longer control or limit what it does. There is no corollary in history for this shift, and those who keep clinging to that myth are in for a very rude awakening. That doesn't mean AI doesn't have good applications (it does), but we are rapidly losing (have already lost) control of it. You are right that we've been flexible and adaptive in the past (a good thing), but we can't adapt to the pace of AI iterations.
