That's rich coming from the crowd that spends all day on Reddit fantasizing about 'rednecks' losing their jobs and dying in the street from fentanyl overdoses. You don't get to posture as the guardian of human dignity while openly celebrating the suffering of anyone who doesn't share your aesthetics, politics, or college degrees. I'm not going to get lectured on 'empathy' by the same group of people who were cheering Luigi Mangione.
What you call 'empathy' is just a mask for elitist tribalism. It’s not about compassion but control. You don't mourn the loss of artistic livelihoods in the abstract, you just hate the idea of art being democratized. You hate that people without the right credentials or clout can now create compelling work without your gatekeeping.
AI isn't replacing creativity. It's exposing how shallow and exclusionary much of it has become. And if your whole argument boils down to 'but prompts are too easy' maybe what you fear is the death of your monopoly on being the one who gets to define it.
