1. It has been proven that these programs do make copies.
2. These programs learn nothing like a human. Humans are not simply algorithms that scan for patterns, but we entities who learn the fundamental rules behind something and when to break them. We learn to deviate from the seen patterns.
We are also sapient entities, with emotions, subjective experiences and the ability to make choices, these being things that fundamentally give us more rights then those of basic programs.
