@simonwyndham Companies that are struggling financially can now layoff many workers under the guise of AI, because of the AI hype. Entry-level workers always bear the brunt, as they are the least experienced and require some upfront training investment. Then the same companies after pleasing their shareholders with profit gains from layoffs, rehire workers later, often with cheaper salaries and offshore.
