Darling, any politician who even thinks about doing that is public enemy number 1 to these companies, and they can spend unlimited amounts of cash to twist elections.
Not to mention: Even if you manage to wring UBI out of the AI companies, they still hold all the cards. ALL the cards. More so than any other entity ever concieved.
If they shut down, then EVERYTHING is down, because all industry depends on them. They become too big to fail, orders of magnitude more than the banks in 2008 were.
And a UBI will only increase that status.
If everyones income is dependant on them, they dictate the rules. They will give you everything, but only if you behave the way they want.
