I mean, AI is the first artistic/"artistic" (however you wanna say that word) technology that emulates other mediums and technology and thus muddies the waters regarding the methods used to make a piece in a way no other technology did. Photography didn't emulate traditional art. CGI (mostly) didn't emulate practical effects. And digital art doesn't emulate traditional art. But AI emulates all of them.
Of course artists are gonna feel bad over AI in a way that hasn't happened historically. This is the equivalent of Marvel's Skrulls becoming reality in tech form.
