I can't really disagree. But how does one "treat"A.I.? I mean, you can't feed A.I. an ice cream cone, or punch it in the face (or whatever). Also,It's not a single entity, as many are working on their own A.I. independently.
In addition, it seems every scientific advance gets weaponized. I wish we could fix our problems, be WAY less warlike, and have a nice day. I really wish that would happen.
