@MoonfeatherWildkin Imo,it would be pointless. To program them "now" that way. Since we don't have true AI yet. But if a computer can become sentient and than ask for rights, you should give them to him, since he is... you know... sentient.
When the algorythm is there, but not explicit in the code. Than we have true sentient AI, imo.Than we can give them the same rights as we have. Tricky but not without answer-.
A child will not demand the same rights as long as it is not pressured to demand them. But still you would give a child the same rights u have. Since it's a child.
