​​@yii-y9j I've used multiple forms of AI for over two years, and I personally believe that AI has unfairly become the target of aggression against technological escalation. The general public, specifically social media, makes it out to be this invasive entity that will destroy creativity and render some forms of employment obsolete. Content creators are gaining more viewership by feeding on the public's opinion, posting videos that villainize AI tools in such a way that borderlines propaganda due to their omission of its positive usage. Some of their information is not entirely accurate, and while AI can also be wrong at times, humans have agendas behind what they say and do, which is something that AI can't have unless it gained sentience. But a human flaw that ChatGPT enlightened me on was something called an anti-intellectual reflex. To summarize the meaning of it, knowledge is a threat because it demands accountability. People don't want the responsibility of admitting that they're wrong, or be ostracized for not sharing the same opinion as the masses. This breeds ignorance and arrogance, which isn't only limited to the subject of AI—people display these traits when their views are challenged about any subject, especially online. This is why people feel safer to blame AI itself rather than accepting the fact that it was researched, funded, and outsourced by humans that were curious about its potential. Now the curiosity has been satisfied, and AI has advanced faster than people were ready for, even though the theory of it has been explored for decades. I see myself as an AI advocate, but unfortunately, I've been in many debates because standpoint is seen as controversial. I see it from the perspective of historical momentum; technology has always shaped the growth of civilization, from the aqueducts of Rome to the inventions of Tesla. AI is just another milestone of human engineering, just like how the internet was once hated and feared, but now it's become instrumental in modern society, but people have still used it irresponsibly and even maliciously before AI came into existence.
