I agree that AI in general has likely already been responsible for a number of deaths, and that that's terrible and that there should be some people working to prevent that, but Neil was specifically referring to an even much worse outcome: _all_ humans dying, specifically due to not just any AI but machine superintelligence: AI that's better than the best human at every mental task. That's the type of AI that's likely to kill _everyone_, not just some people, Nate argues. That type of AI doesn't exist yet and can still be stopped.
