@PastanutYep, essentially useless for everyday use. Google could implement options in Chrome and YouTube that clearly identify videos and images created with their own models and they could probably identify most of the other images and video by basic analysis of the files but they haven’t, most likely out of fear it will hurt their revenue streams.
If people want to go to more effort, editing and compositing they can disguise the AI more effectively to pass a casual viewing but a lot of AI online is obvious and people are becoming desensitised to it… although it’s hard to imagine I will ever be desensitised to the chair t’ai chi ads constantly fed to me on here. My guess is that most people have probably seen a professional ad made with AI and didn’t notice it was AI, either because they just couldn’t tell or because they weren’t in an AI vigilant state of mind, even though it would have seemed obvious if someone pointed it out.
