The reason to believe the AI hype is that it is already happening. Paycom laid off 500 people fall 2025 because AI replaced them. I use AI in my job. I know that whether I am better or not, AI doesn't need flights, hotels, food expenses, or medical insurance or a paycheck. I just rescheduled a dental appointment with an AI receptionist, and it was fast.
