So what’s the solution? How do politics take care of the people?
The truth is they rarely do. Governments react to crises instead of preventing them. But if we wait for politicians to fix the world, we’ll wait forever. So maybe the solution starts smaller with honesty. Don’t tell people to stop having kids. That’s not fair, and it’s not our place. But tell them the truth, that the world their children inherit will be harder. That resources are running thin. That the cost of living and the cost of nature’s damage are rising together. Not as a form of population control but an informing choice. We can’t scare people into action, but we can educate them. We can show that caring about the planet isn’t anti-human, it’s deeply human. We can push for policies that protect both: renewable energy, clean water laws, mental health support, and education that teaches kids about sustainability not just technology. Because evolution doesn’t always mean growing smarter sometimes it means growing wiser. And maybe, before AI evolves beyond us, we can evolve within ourselves.
