@FrostyIFrost he had been talked to in the past, but people didn't believe the excuse that the police got a new AI system that picked him out for no reason, the drive-by was an escalation after the talks, also police informants have been shot before, trying to claim that's a thing that never happens is just a lie. You can try and claim that the cops would have stopped if it was clear he was a normal guy, by in all their time pestering him they found nothing, zero proof of any wrong doing, surely they would have said something with this guy slandering their name like this no? Or he would have been charged with something?
anyone can say they don't know anything, but if you believe someone to be a snitch, and they keep hanging around the police that's only going to reinforce the idea, he could be watching them, any time they get busted for anything the obvious assumption would be the rat that keeps talking to the police would be involved in some way.
There is quite literally zero evidence he had any gang affiliation, the reasonable response would be to follow logic instead of building up a grand conspiracy with zero evidence to try and wave away an event
