I accept your challenge, I am not even an AI artist, but I might use some eventually in my work. - It's not unethical - a proposed standard that finds AI to be unethical also torches mass amounts of art as we know it (you would kill memes and fanart, for example) - The use of images to create a dataset is fair use - AI art does not replace artists except in the most poorly-paid, useless soulless corporate work - Ai is actually a useful tool for artists - see Daromeon's posts on his twitt where he's shown how he uses AI to speed up his production on Kengan Omega. Also see Jazza's video on AI. - Most of the "AI spam" is equivalent to people making lazy DAZ renders. It's annoying but it's just novel - that doesn't make it evil. - People trying to sell raw AI outputs are not a threat to anyone, but I don't think it's worth buying their stuff anyway. If you were spending money on "reference packs" then you were not spending your money wisely anyway, AI-generated or not. - Most of the "unethical uses of AI" are perfectly doable (and have been done!) by people without AI. AI is not uniquely a threat vs photoshop/GIMP/Krita/etc. - People discouraged by AI art would be discouraged more by the fact that people who are 14 can draw better, or that are undercutting them severely on fiverr, or seeing their peers advance quicker, etc. As well some people torched their whole account when they found out someone else liked their art enough to repost it (killing their own reach and career.) AI is, again, not unique in the sense that there's "demotivation" all around the internet and life - almost all of it is simply how the artist approaches a situation and none of it is discouraging with the right mindset.
