AI is not a tool with the way many people are using. Its not tool if you dont do anything, just write some stuffs and the machine steal from artists without their permission. Thats not tool.
But the artists who make their own AI like the way u said, using it as a tool. they are the one who draw those in the first place, they are uaing their own art to make it faster. Pretty ok way to use AI. One of the best example is also spiderverse movie. THESE are the example of using it as a tool.
Also, Adobe is stealing from its users to train AI as far as i know. They made a new terms of service agreement, to train their AI on the works you make in it. So that example isnt a good example.
