Wrong. You're thinking of narrow AI like ChatGPT. ASI is different because it improves itself recursively.
It doesn't stop at human knowledge. It rewrites its own code to get smarter, then that smarter version rewrites itself again, then again. Each cycle happens faster and makes it exponentially more intelligent. Within days it's beyond anything humans could ever create or understand.
It's like saying a child can only be as smart as their parents. Except this child learns a million times faster and has no biological limit on intelligence.
That's the actual threat.
