I'd say it takes much more effort to 'teach' AI not to copy? If I ran a rudimentary model on a dataset with one image, it would learn to replicate the image: that doesn't make it a good model. If a human could copy the image perfectly, though, it indicates some level of skill. Overfitting's pretty common with AI while human artists' styles are more inherent, I think?
