I think the whole "AI will replace artists" thing is about AI being cheaper and "better", not neccesarly better but equivelant to, artists. It's greedy people doing greedy people stuff and acting like a god among actual artists and then they complain about artists being mad at them.
I wouldn't give a single sh*t if:
1. Companies trained their AI with permission of the artists they are going to train their AI off of,
2. AI prompters would not provoke artists.
But never will numero uno happen because that would be too expensive
