Perhaps automakers should have the AI disabled until those who own these vehicles take extensive simulator training based on known accidents with AI driving mode engaged then have to pass a difficult simulator test on how they respond to a variety of accident scenarios while their simulator is on auto drive. If they pass the AI driving mode is enabled. Don't pilots train and test for their response to system failures prior to obtaining their license to operate a specific commercial aircraft?
