I just tried "Give me an image of a black doctor treating a white child" with ChatGPT 4.0 using Dalle. The first time it gave me a black doctor with a kid who was somewhere in between, color wise, but had a pretty big afro. By clicking the "do again" button, the next time the kid was a little lighter. The third time and fourth times, the kids were quite white.
I don't do a lot with images, but one thing I'm seeing is that the system tries to add "diversity" whenever possible. The deeper I dove into David Rozado's data, the clearer it became to me that this was more than training data. It seemed very clear that OpenAI had a distinct "protected classes" notion.
