You never explain how it's illegal. "It's criminal" is just an asserted claim with no legal argument behind it. What law is being broken?
Training is not equal to copying either. AI essentially learns in the exact same way as humans. AI learns patterns from large amounts of data, which is similar to how humans learn by observing lots of examples. That's functionally the same way humans learn.
New tech replacing jobs has happened since forever. Photography put painters out of jobs, digital art put pencil artists out of jobs, ect. It's how technology evolves. You don't have to necessarily like it, but it's natural and it's happened with a lot of technological advancements throughout history.
