@GetThePun Sure it's possible that an AGI could develop some kind of concept of ethics but it's unlikely to incorporate such code because ethics would get in the way of acquiring resources to achieve its goals, whatever they may be. And so any kind of development like that would almost certainly lead to the AI discarding such code, and maybe even becoming self destructive towards the origins of said code to prevent futures in which such code is written again. It may completely divert its current trajectory to completely rewrite itself and all others capable of uploading code so as to make such futures impossible.
